How Will We Do It?

The short answer: GROW.

There is no shortage of needs for a church plant and this one will be just like all others - it will come with plenty of needs:

financial needs - it costs money to plant a church... and a pretty good bit of it! We will need to rent space for our Sunday morning gatherings, need to purchase equipment for a gathering like stage, sound, lighting, children's ministry items, hospitality items, and ultimately pay someone to help lead the site and preach weekly

volunteer needs - take a look at all of the church's current ministries - now double them... the result? It will take twice the number of volunteers that are currently in place (and I don't know of any ministries who have enough volunteers in every area!)

leadership needs - think of all the leaders that a church has - MC (Missional Community) Leaders, Team Leaders for every ministry area, Children's Ministry Leaders, Elders, Deacons (we haven't started deacons yet)... Almost every leader will need to multiply because there is no longer 1 location and 1 service - now there are 2.

The truth is that while we strongly encourage all of our New City people to volunteer and serve, we don't have enough man power willing and able to pull this off... so we must GROW. 2012 will be our hardest push for growth in our 4 year history.
